A friend selling a motorized chair that is practically in new condition. Her husband has since passed away and he was a ppt of IRIS. She is asking $1000 for it. She asked if I would let some people know about it. Thanks!!
Comment by Jean Oliver-Holder on May 22, 2012 at 2:58pm Researching options for transportation, I found one in Superior, Senior Connections. Even though it says Senior, they also serve disabled folks. Also, North Country Independent Living's Bob Olsgard is a great resource if you are stumped.

This will not fall under adult family home rules. This will truly be a self directed and managed apartment."

Dental Services in Rice Lake
Please read the email below from the ADRC in Barron, Rusk, and Washburn Counties:
Hello Everyone,
I received a call from Dr. Ron Hager who is directing/coordinating dental services for people who require sedation/hospitalization for dental procedures. Marshfield Dental Clinic is teaming with Lakeview Medical Center to provide this service locally. As you may or may not know, in the past these services were usually provided by St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls (via dentists through Northern WI Center for DD). At this time, they would like to concentrate on serving people in Barron and adjacent counties (Washburn, Rusk, Polk). Dr. Hager gave a point of contact for questions/referrals of Amy Mortenson at 715-236-8901. Please let others in your agencies/counties know of this service. This service is also available for children with disabilities. I did talk with Amy and she clarified that the primary purpose for this is to serve people with disabilities but that they are willing to consider individuals on a case by case basis (example: a person with extreme anxiety over a dental procedure in which sedation is the only way to complete an exam/procedure).
Please call Amy at the above number for specific questions and referrals.
Thanks,Tonya
