Looking for friends here who are guardians and/or parents of an ASD person!
I'm very interested in getting some dialog going with another parent of an autistic adult. I don't know a solitary soul in Wisconsin who is such a person. Cheryl has been with me since September of 2011 and this almost-two-years has been the happiest period of my entire life! I'm pretty sure it's been the happiest time of her…

In 1980, President Jimmy Carter's proclamation changed the name to Older Americans Month, a time to celebrate those 65…

Spring River notes
The water is high on the Wisconsin River but you can still enjoy it from the shore.
Ferry Bluff trail is now open for your hiking and viewing pleasure, just follow HWY 60 towards Spring Green, out of Sauk City.
You also should come to the river to view the PELICANS during their migration; they make a short pit stop at the river, you can see them from the bridge, at the dam, the VFW park, or from a variety of canoe launches along the river around Sauk City.
Last…

"If Everybody Works" is a 15-minute video produced by the University of Iowa Center for Disabilities and Development. why, who and why?
I understand that there needs to be regulations in place. But it is becoming so hard for the participants to use their funding for their needs that they are going without. There are new regulations put into place (what feels like daily) by whom? Who decided that some person or persons needed to be hired to call new participants and tell them nothing more than they will be contacted the following week by someone else? Wasteful state spending. Who decided that IRIS should feed…
